I had an inspiration last week and will be sharing soon about my summer practice incentive :)

I'm really excited about it and hope it will keep my students motivated over the summer months!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08905459835583001751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4528996180471610430.post-75438828659791708052012-05-26T07:18:51.290-07:002012-05-26T07:18:51.290-07:00Your Recital sounded wonderful. My summer schedule will start in July and go through mid-August when I will take a few weeks off. I am looking for a fun summer incentive like your ice-cream cone practice incentive from last year. Any ideas?BusyBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08999619023510410806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4528996180471610430.post-80982310447227491262012-05-25T12:27:58.884-07:002012-05-25T12:27:58.884-07:00Leah- I hope you'll enjoy your summer break! I'll have to post about my summer lesson plan. It's worked really well for me over the past years and I don't think my students feel extra pressure. I always feel like they lose too much (I have mostly younger students in my studio) if they take the whole summer off.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08905459835583001751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4528996180471610430.post-41401102112674220342012-05-22T14:29:04.383-07:002012-05-22T14:29:04.383-07:00Looks like fun! It's the most I've ever taken, but last year I tried to go into summer, and June was a write-off. Kids were so excited about school coming to an end that they were basically on another planet. :) This year I'm stopping at the end of May while they are still working hard...maybe it's a bit of psychology, but I'm hoping it will keep them excited to start back in the fall...so far it's working and they are giving me great ideas for our goals and incentives next year.Leahhttp://www.mypianoplayground.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4528996180471610430.post-79626679523247063552012-05-21T09:35:21.921-07:002012-05-21T09:35:21.921-07:00Thank you!
